Holding out for a hero

Happy 50th anniversary to Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

I gave another test to the kids yesterday and not everyone were able to finish them so I'm gonna have give the papers again tomorrow and ensure that they'll complete them.

This is one of my beloved angels, Rezky. He is smart but somehow his attitude pisses me off at certain times. Yet he is always impressive.

A day left then Thor and Jane will be going away. Bohooo~. I cleaned up their cage this morning and found that the two kept on fighting each other for the wheel after I put them back into the cage. I was thinking that the two are trying to correct each other. Something like, "Ehhh, salah tu jalan mu ahh! Patutnya ke kiri bah!" All because Thor wanted to go that way *points to the right*.

And Jane wanted to go the opposite way.

So they ended up with this!

Waterfront opening ceremony

It's Sunday (finally!). I am still feeling exhausted. Two days ago, I went out with bibehh to run some errands. The heat was exhausting me even more.

Anyways, me and my family went to the opening ceremony of the Waterfront in Bandar Seri Begawan. We walked from home and it was quite fun actually until we reached the Waterfront site. So crowded! So full of people that we can hardly see the procession. However, it was a great evening and I was glad to spend a quality time with the family together with my aunt and cousins. I didn't capture a lot of pictures because of the crowd. I know I wasted the golden chance but, oh well, I just didn't snap snap snap a lot.

This thing at the Waterfront really reminded me of the Frost Giants' source of power, the Casket of Ancient Winter. LOL! It seems like everything is reminding me of Thor. I really like the movie and I am looking forward to see The Transformers. =)

Floating house

I had to take off the upper floor of Thor and Jane's cage because I noticed that they couldn't climb up the stairs. So I moved their house to the 'ground floor' but the cage's grill is quite high and that made the house seems like it is floating in the air.

I hate the sound of the wheel when either Thor or Jane runs in it. It goes rrrrrRRRRRRRR rrrrrrRRRRRRRRR rrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRR which usually breaks the silence in the middle of the night and made me sleepless. Only few days more then I won't be having them anymore. =/

Thor and Jane

Day 2 of the visit. It is such a tiring day today. Its only Wednesday yet it feels like Thursday. So looking forward to Friday. I need rest.

Been so busy to get 130 sets of the Bijak Sifir booklets photocopied and binded for my four classes of Year 1.

Then had to miss my 1A class for the Pasang game with the Singaporean delegates. The teachers seemed to like the game a lot that they wanted to get the board and asked if it's sold at the Gadong night market. That question made me laugh because the night market only sells food (mostly). A sad truth, no?

Afternoon, stayed back at school to prepare for the closing ceremony of the Immersion Programme.

Then I went to shop for a hamster cage to put in bibehh's two hamsters. Yeap, he is taking away two of Lala's babies which I named Thor and Jane Foster (LOL!) because they were born the night we went to watch Thor.

Look who gets to step on to the cage's floor first! Boo Twinkle!

The cage was just nice. Its a two-storey cage with a house, a wheel, a drink bottle and a feeder.

Also I bought two containers to put in their food so that bibehh can feed them easier. Hm, opening a container is much more easier than to unseal the food packets, no? Well, at least I think so.

Bought a bottle of shampoo for the little creatures too.

These are Thor and Jane Foster (LOL again!). The argente one is Thor and the argouti is Jane. =))

And Baby is pondering, "I don't deserve a new cage, eh?"

On another note, Wawa has given birth to six pups. Whee~. =)

A warm welcome

Today we welcomed a group of Singaporean delegates from Qihua School, Singapore who are here in our school for Immersion Programme 2011. Among the delegates were the principal (I believe so), an ICT teacher and a Bahasa Melayu teacher. They will be here for three days.

The delegates came into my Maths class after recess. Just to look around, you see. What a bad timing though as I was having a class with the 1A angels at that time. LOL. I prefer them coming while I am having my 1B class actually. However, it was such a big honour for them to come in. *tearful joy - imagining one of the anime illustrations in comic books*

Busy bee

Its a busy Monday. Everyone in school are busy with the preparation to welcome a group of Singaporean delegates to the school tomorrow.

As part of the programme, I am involved as the invitation card and programme booklet designer. It was quite a headache messing about the Microsoft Publisher to get the most satisfying design simply because I don't want it to be similar to the one that I made for the aerobic invitation early this year. I am also involved with the part where we are gonna introduce Brunei's traditional game. I was chosen to do the 'Pasang' game. Therefore, apart from trying to recall the how-to-play and rules of the game, I have to prepare brochures. Also, I have to prepare bookmarks for my department.

HSM: Wow, you two play what ah?
Me: We play game 'put on'. (smiles)
HSM: (laughs) 'Put on' ah? Good! Good! Sapa cigu English mu dulu ahh?!
Me: Guru nda bertauliah gugur dari langit. (laughs)
DKS: Antam tah kamu eh!

Sliding door

Sometimes I think it is just the way its meant to be. A great friend used to say, "If you wish to wait, just ensure that it is worth the wait." One door closed, another slides open, and thats what I believe.

I absolutely hate man with wrong priorities but its alright for now. Be it at the top or the lowest of one's priority, I will still shine. =)

Smiling sun

Alhamdulillah. All done well with the interview yesterday. Thanks to beloved bibehh for driving me to the place. It's been quite a while that I haven't been to Seria, for sure, I miss the place. I miss bullying Kitty. She seems a lot more fatter. Pregnant? We all hope so. LOL.

Nothing much about the interview. I just need to settle things around with the school I'm currently working at and the Department of Schools (maybe) before making the confirmation. But I believe that the best thing for me would come, InsyaAllah.

Anyways, I am loving the babies. They are now so hyper (and cute too!)

One of them can now run in the wheel but of course not as fast as Lala. =)

And I am tired of doing this. =(

Dark clouds

Scary. Very dark clouds this morning when I was heading to school. It was amazing that it didn't rain. =/

The kids enjoyed the drawing activities but I am not happy with the outcome, well, I did expect that though. It was lucky that I didn't ask them to draw in their workbook. I printed out the same question from the workbook.
Anyway, I received a call from one private school in Seria that the school is offering me a post therefore they needed me to arrange the time when I'm available to come to the school for an interview. The person said he understood that I am working in the morning so that's why he gave me the chance to set the time. Bibehh and momme were excited about this and my heart went sha la la la. Thanks for the support. <3

Shapes and colour

Nothing much today. I still can't snap photos of the new hamsters but I am so excited to see them grow. Each morning, I woke up approaching them before heading to the bathroom. LOL. That partly explains why I am usually late coming to school. I guess having hamsters is equivalent to having a Facebook account. Time waster! LOL. But hamsters are more worth it. =))

I gave the kids another colouring activity where they have to colour different shape with different colour according to the key given. Then I chose some to laminate and put on the kids' activity board.

Notice the boy holding a green string? He's my 6-year old boy with Down's Syndrome. Such a lovely kid who loves to be photographed. =)

Pre-test

A day late. I gave the kids a test today covering all the topics that they have learnt from the beginning of the year. It was actually a pre-test, part of the Early Intervention Programme for Maths that we are carrying out at the moment. That means I have to do the item analysis and conduct the intervention for the failing kids so that equals to lots of work. Sighs.

So eager to put these things up but I have to wait until Saturday since I'll be wearing sports suit. That'll make it easier for me to climb up the chair. =))

Food song and prizes

It's Saturday. Early this morning during the assembly, we got to watch the Pre-Schoolers singing two songs entitled 'Mee Goreng' and 'Buah Durian'. I am familiar to the 'Buah Durian' song. It's the Mee Goreng that has got the issue! It has the 'Ini Rekodku' tune, they just changed the lyrics for sure. The big issue was ... singing 'Lihat sini lihatlah, ini mee gorengku. Campur sayur dan telur...' managed to make some people feel hungry. It was brilliant that I found I was singing the song to myself while sweeping my Maths room. LOL!

After the ceremony, we had a prize giving ceremony for the winners throughout the Maths Month.

And I was shocked that I was appointed as one of the judges for the olahraga event this Sunday! Pfft. Worse I wasn't even informed prior to this appointment and I wasn't sent to attend any briefing for this event.

Brought myself alone to Tutong to get my car serviced and then went to Telisai. My aunt gave me another pair of albino dwarf hamsters. Yippie~.
